From the Editor
Another new year, another new release of Oracle (10G database and 10G application server),
another new concept in computing (grid), and another SCOUG conference is hot on our heels.
It is an exciting time, and the changes are just beginning.
And, we want you to be a part of it all. More >>

From the Treasurer
Did you know that SCOUG manages all the funds for each local organization? Do you know how your $40 is spent?
There are many benefits to becoming a member and the small annual fee is divided equally between the local organization and SCOUG.
This year one of the benefits to membership is "free" entrance to the annual training day in Houston.
Financial information is always available to members by simply asking you local board officers or contacting the SCOUG treasurer.
Membership is on the Rise!
Thanks all who renewed their memberships for 2004. To those that haven't received an invoice,
or if you are new to SCOUG, it's easy and inexpensive ($40 / year) so go to
www.scoug.org and follow the individual or corporate membership links. The small membership fee gets you membership in SCOUG
and membership in your choice of local Organization (Austin, Baton Rouge, Dallas, Ft. Worth, Houston,
New Orleans, San Antonio).

read) format for end-users, managers, programmers, or database administers.

paid correctly. Implementing any new payroll system is probably one of the most visible changes you can inflict on
your employees. Everyone will see the change and one small error can reverberate throughout your organization. More >>
